Climbing as a form of action? Hang banners, tree occupations and much more …

We (the interior are climbing trainers of Robin Wood and other action contexts) offer a training for climbing on action to beginners.

Date: Saturday 28th July 19h to Thursday 2nd August 16h
Location: Dittersbach near Dresden, Germany.

Content and scope:
Our 5-day intensive training includes all the basics of technical climbing, are necessary for the use of rope climbing techniques in actions – inter alia:
- Introduction of material
- Knots
- Ascending to the trees with and without a rope
- Abseiling
- Safety systems, moving in the height
- Installation and removal of ropes
- Rescue
- Walkways / horizontal traverse lines
- rope-supported banner-hanging.

The aim of the training is to learn the basic techniques and safety rules in theory and practice to an extent that the participants then are able to practice independently and use the skills later for action.

It is essential to arrive on time and to participate for the total time, because for safety reasons it is not possible to learn climbing only partially (because half falling down is no option). There are no previous experience necessary, we strongly suggest that participants have gone through a tryout-workshop or similar. Equipment is provided completely, sore muscles and have fun are included. For more information about directions, etc. after registration.

Since we expect some international participants for this training, the course language will be wholly or partially in English.

Charge: The training is voluntary planned and implemented. Food (organic, vegetarian/vegan) is prepared together in the team. It will carry a total of 70-80 € per person expenses (Accommodation, meals and materials).

Registration: We had some negative experiences with late cancellations and other organizational problems. As volunteer trainers, we invest a lot of energy and time into such a training, and want to improve the quality and preparation of training. Therefore, there is the following registration procedures: If you want to participate, send us an email and answer the attached questions as soon as possible, no later than two weeks before the appointment, to: tobias@leussner.de.
Then we assign the limited training places. May be we´ll set up a waiting list when we receive too many applications. For queries you can email (tobias@leussner.de) or Call me (+49(0)3494-937555, +49(0)176-70002552).
